If HBO's Rome measured time like Jack Bauer, the series would be slightly less than a day at about 22 hours. Unfortunately, due to HBO's budgetary concerns, Rome ended up being at the other end of the tv time/real time ration, covering about 24 years of history in the 22 episodes.
